Inspired by Swami Vivekananda 's philosophy, a group of young educated professionals came together in 2009 to set up Mukhopadhyay Foundation to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of Street, Underprivileged and School drop-out children, their families and communities.under the leadership of Dr. Soumitra Mukhopadhyay, PhD, Founder Chairman,Mukhopadhyay Foundation

"A man's true wealth is good he does in the world" in the lives of underprivileged children, youth and women, with a life-cycle approach of development.
I can't stress enough just how important you are to the whole equation I started this Foundation to take on the big challenges facing our Siliguri by bringing together governments, businesses, nonprofits, and individuals to work together to implement real solutions.
I can bring attention to problems and build networks of people to develop innovative solutions that will change lives of deprived and street children. So here's my proposal: If you donate right now, I'm going to match it twice. From now - you, your friends, and your family can have your impact. I say that 'we' are doing these things because I am certainly not doing them alone. The scale of our projects is not small – we want to reach millions of children. And I need your help to do that.

Mukhopadhyay Foundation has been working on two projects namely, Swami Vivekananda International Residential School and Sisu Sambad both both require financial assistance to execute.
Swami Vivekananda International Residential School
School Education is a Concurrent Subject under Constitution of India and falls within the domain of
Center and States / UTs. School Education is dealt by Department of School Education and Literacy of Ministry of
Human Resource Development (MHRD). School Education is dealt by Education Department.This project is undertaken by Mukhopadhyay Foundation, Charitable organization of North Bengal, with the view of
Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Government of India and Government of West Bengal
entrusted with administration of programmes and statutes relating to Child Development and Child Protection as well for
the development and empowerment of girls and protection of Birth Rights of Street and Underprivileged Children of
North Bengal to develop their intrinsic qualities, intelligence, promoting literacy and produce talents among the
thousands of Street and Underprivileged children of North Bengal> Thus Mukhopadhyay Foundation requires
large corporate social investors.

Sisu Sambad
Our philosophy of life is that we look at the world with the eyes of a street child, for if we look at
the world with the eyes of a child then we can always see the world with the innocence of a child because
they have the wildest imagination and it helps us to write stories of street children.
We know the life of a child who ran away from his home and started working as a rag picker at the
New Delhi Railway Station before he was rehabilited by a NGO. He studied photography and then hie hold his
first solo exhibition titled " Street Dream".

Credibility and accountability have always been the bench mark for Smile Foundation and are achieved through the promotion of principles of good governance in the processes and practices. Smile Foundation has a four-tier audit and evaluation mechanism to ensure impact of investment and complete transparency and accountability in utilisation of funds. This four-tier audit mechanism reviews programmes and projects, internal operations, compliance of statutory norms and conducts an external evaluation for the impact and outcome of various development programmes. The entire management processes and practices of Smile Foundation are in compliance with the principles of good governance.
